Buy a piece of history with this 1967 Toyota 2000GT

For our money, the 1967 Toyota 2000GT might be the finest supercar ever built. Or one of them, at least. And by "our money," we of course mean "hypothetical money since we'll never be able to afford this dream car."

But seriously, you can keep your Ferraris and your Lambos and your whatnots and what-have-yous. The 2000GT is one of the most exquisite vehicles ever created. Just look at that picture up there. Look at those lines. It's absolute driving perfection in every way.

If we DID have an extra million or so lying around (sigh), we'd totally go to Arizona in late January and bid all of our monies on this bad boy. Over the five-year time frame the car was produced, only 351 of them were ever built, and only 260 of them are allegedly still in existence, which makes this a very rare vehicle. Even more rare: It has all of its original parts, including the matching-numbers Yamaha inline 6-cylinder engine. It also features the original color combo.

The car came out of the Toyota factory on November 27, 1967, and it was delivered to Japan with right-hand drive. It has since been sparingly driven and is perfectly preserved, and has now been delivered to the United States for auction.

What do you think?
