The launch date for the Apple iPhone 6S has been revealed

It's getting close to that time again.

What time, you ask? Well, new iPhone time, of course!

According to BuzzFeed News, Apple has internally scheduled the announcement of what will likely be known as the iPhone 6S (and 6S Plus) for Wednesday, September 9. The event that launched the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus was held on the exact same date last year.

What can you expect from the new 6S? The most notable change is something you can't even see while gazing adoringly at it from the outside. Inside, there's a new Qualcomm LTE chip, and people who know things about computer chips (I only know things about potato chips, sadly) say that the new chips will likely double the speed of your LTE bandwidth. Which is awesome news because then we can spend even MORE time gazing at our phones instead of talking to other humans.

Apple is also rumored to be including Force Touch, the tapping technology that made its debut in the new 13" MacBook Pro. As the proud owner of said MacBook Pro, I can tell you that having the Force Touch options in a new phone will be quite exciting, indeed.

What do you think?
